Aluminum lanthanum master alloy is one of aluminum master alloy/aluminum-based alloy.

Aluminum master alloys are semi-finished products. Aluminum master alloys are alloys that are added to molten metal to obtain the desired composition and/or influence the as-cast structure. Master alloys can contain more than 50 weight per cent of the main alloying element. They can be produced by melting or by mixing the individual constituents and then compacting them. They are used instead of a pure metal because they are very economical and save energy and production time.

Aluminum lanthanum master alloy is the alloy of Aluminium and Lanthanum which is used as additive for lanthanum in aluminum alloys. Lanthanum (La) is a light rare earth element with atomic number 57. La is usually consumed by glass industry as additive. Its also a promising hydrogen storage material. Lanthanum could also be found in quite a lot electronic components, such as camera lenses and electrodes.

Usage of Aluminum lanthanum master alloy

Calculate the number of primary alloys required to compound the flux according to required control standards of elements in the flux and standard contents of primary alloy.

For composition adjustment, generally add the primary alloy furmance charge as well and spread them evenly on the intermediate layer of furnance charge.

When smelted, take out the flux and mix it evenly. Than do the sample analysis.
