Application:

Yttrium Nitrate is applied in ceramics, glass, and electronics. High purity grades are the most important materials for tri-bands Rare Earth phosphors and Yttrium-Iron-Garnets, which are very effective microwave filters. Yttrium Nitrate is a highly water soluble crystalline Yttrium source for uses compatible with nitrates and lower (acidic) pH.Used in industries such as manufacturing ternary catalysts, yttrium tungsten electrodes, ceramic materials, intermediates of yttrium compounds, chemical reagents.Research reagents,  As a source of yttrium, it is used to manufacture mesophase surfactants based on yttrium, as an adsorbent or as a precursor for optical functional substances and nano scale coatings of carbon composite materials.

The production process of yttrium nitrate: under heating, slightly excess yttrium oxide is dissolved in concentrated nitric acid to obtain it. Burn yttrium oxide at 900 ℃ for 3 hours, cool and dissolve it in a 1:1 nitric acid solution. Control the pH of the solution at the end of the reaction to be 3-4. Distill the solution under reduced pressure into a syrup and slowly crystallize at room temperature. Recrystallize twice. When recrystallizing, a small amount of yttrium nitrate needs to be added as a seed to obtain yttrium nitrate hexahydrate crystal.
